ABOUT ME

I'm originally from the Midwest USA, born and raised in North Dakota, Minnesota and Nebraska. I first got into photography when my father gave me his old 35mm film camera. I use to try things like building my own macro attachment out of an old magnifying glass, or making a ND filter using emergency blanket foil. I really began taking more photos when I moved to Norway as a Fulbright Scholar after graduating from the University of Nebraska Omaha.

I now reside in the UK and have spent the last 10 years in Europe studying geophysics and glaciology while at the same time trying to improve my photography technique. Studying geosciences has allowed me to travel to some amazing places, such as the high arctic Svalbard, the rooftop of the world in the Khumbu Himal of Nepal, the European Alps of Switzerland, Austria, France and Italy, and many of the most beautiful cities of Europe.

I have taken inspiration and gained a lot of knowledge from numerous friends that I have met throughout life, who also share a passion for photography. I enjoy taking all sorts of photos, from landscapes to portraits, macro and astrophotos. Have a look around. I hope you can find a few you enjoy.

Cheers,
